PEACHJAR TUESDAY FOLDERS: Instead of each child carrying home a blue folder of paper communications from the school and/or the LTISD, we have district-wide use of Peachjar, an innovative flyer management system that sends district- and school-approved digital flyers directly to parents via email. This ‘green’ initiative will save paper and reduce copy costs for our schools and community partners.
By default, all parents will be opted-in to the system. No action is required on their part, provided their email contact information is up to date with their child's school. If parents have children in more than one school, parents will automatically receive digital flyers from each campus. As with most email delivery platforms, parents will have the option to unsubscribe from the Peachjar service. However, parents should keep in mind that by opting out, they may miss information and announcements pertaining to their child and his/her school events. Peachjar will be used exclusively for the electronic distribution of district- and school-approved flyers. Parent email addresses will not be shared or used for any other purpose. BLACKBOARD EMAIL, PHONE, AND/OR TEXT MESSAGES FROM PRINCIPAL RUSS AND/OR THE LTISD: Blackboard provides a safe way for Principal Russ to text or email messages and stay in touch with parents. Parents never have to share their phone numbers to enroll. WCH parents are automatically enrolled but may opt out, if preferred. District alerts and special announcements are also communicated through Blackboard.
SCHOOL DISMISSAL TRANSPORTATION IN SMART TAG: Student transportation arrangements, early departures from school, and/or absences are communicated by parents to the WCH staff through SMART Tag. Learn more here.
