Lauren Arias -- Hi everyone! I'm so excited to be your 4th-grade teacher! This is my second year teaching, but I've been part of this district for three years, spending the first two as a substitute teacher. Originally from Waco, Texas, I'm recently engaged and share my home with three adorable cats: Lana, Nacho, and Kolache. I am very passionate about helping each student foster their curiosity and love for learning. WCHE is an incredibly special community, and I feel honored to be a part of it.
Nikki Cornell -- I am Mrs. Cornell, and I am so excited to be teaching at WCHE this year! This is my 6th year teaching and my 4th year living in Austin. I have two kiddos plus one on the way. My older children attend WCHE. My husband makes teeth for a living. When I'm not traveling with my son's baseball team, I like to spend my free time going to the movies, wandering around Target, getting my nails done with my daughter or reading. Of course, when child #3 arrives, I may have zero spare time.
Noelle McDaniel -- I am entering my 13th year in education. I am certified for all subjects in prek-8th grade, and I attained my special education certification this summer for grades prek-12th grade. This will be my 11th year in 4th grade! I love to see all of the growth that children can achieve in all subjects in 4th grade. My husband and two daughters are my biggest support system. We love supporting our kids in volleyball and softball with Lake Travis! Game days are my favorite days! Go LT!
Bonnie Mottola – I am a native Austinite—born and raised in Austin. I am a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in Business Management. I later went back to school and received my Teacher Certification EC-6. I have two children, Mark, an LTHS graduate now attending University of Tampa (sophomore year) and Jacquelyn who is in 8th grade and attends LTMS and is on the POM Squad. I have lived in Tokyo, Boston, Frisco, and in Southern California. Oh and of course, I almost forgot, I have a beautiful English Creme Golden Retriever named Patrick! I love children, you never know what they are going to say…especially 4th Graders! This is my 8th year teaching at West Cypress Hills Elementary. Go Tigers!
Kim Roy – Kim is thrilled to be in her fourth year on the 4th grade team! She is teaching ELA and Social Studies this year. She is also a published poet and a lifelong lover of words. She is originally from Indiana and loves the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. She enjoys traveling, powerlifting, and decorating cakes. She has a husband named Jarrod and two cats named Oscar and Lilo.
