Meghan Baker - My name is Meghan Baker, and I am thrilled to be a first-grade teacher! I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 2023. This is my third year of teaching, and I am so excited to meet my new Tigers!
Harleigh Maceyra – Hello! My name is Harleigh (Maceyra) Mueller, and I am thrilled to be a part of the WCHE 1st grade team this year! I graduated from Concordia University Texas, where I was honored as the Preservice Educator of the Year in 2022. This will be my fourth year teaching 1st grade, and I was proud to be recognized by Austin ISD as a Teacher of Promise during my first year in the classroom.
As a Lake Travis High School graduate, I'm excited to be back in the district that helped shape my own education. My husband and I recently got married in October 2024 and have settled into our new home in Marble Falls. I'm so excited to partner with you and your students for a wonderful year of learning and growth!
Mattie Rowe – Although new to WCHE 1st grade, this is my 2nd year teaching WCHE Tigers, and it is my seventh year of teaching. I was born in Harlingen, Texas. I’m a former TXST Bobcat, and I have a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from WGU. I have taught in Hays CISD, Lockhart ISD, and even across the world in Barcelona, Spain! I am VERY passionate about learning and encouraging students to reach their fullest potential by making school challenging and fun.
Hayley Spillar – I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from San Jose State University in California and coached gymnastics for 15 years before choosing to teach. I pursued my Texas teaching certification while working for a private preschool and then began teaching Kindergarten in Lampasas. I entered LTISD in 2023 and this will be my second year teaching First Grade at West Cypress Hills Elementary. I have lived in Spicewood for 12 years with my husband and now our two children. I love spending time with my family and teaching yoga to the community. My favorite part of teaching is watching students become inspired to learn and proud of their own growth and achievements.
